I'm a sucker for travel books. I love living vicariously through the authors. In fact, on of my favorite all time books is Stienbeck's Travels with Charley.
The Ridiculous Race is a different type of travel book. Its the story of two American writers (one writes for My Name is Earl, the other for American Dad) who embark on a race around the world without using airplanes. Its often times laugh out loud funny and made me want to leave immediately for where the author was talking about at the time. It also had some good (yet light-hearted) insight into the world's dynamics. A quick and fun read!
