Yesterday Was... A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

Yesderday was the One Place Ditch Day were the church encouraged people to call in sick for work so that they could come and float the salt river. The day was filled with old friends (Kevin, Jill, Mark, Shelly, Miah, Seth, and Nelly) as well as new friends (Quinn, Andrew, B Shedd, and Matt).

It was pretty much really fun.

Highlights include:

Huck Finn, Jim, and Carrot Top's raft falling apart in the rapids.

Kevo jumping from the cliff to the raft he commandeered from Huck, Jim, and CT.

Jill coining the term Obamfma... as well as "Bro Minus" previously.

Me zinging a grape directly into Mark's mouth from four feet away while floating down rapids.

Quinn getting Cool Ranch Doritos shoved into his mouth.

Shedd getting off her raft to "take care of business" and then getting caught in the rapids without a raft.

Andrew's amazing "scooping" paddling stroke.

Matt's slow blink on the bus.

Shelly's umbrella keeping the sun off of her.

Miah's amazing swim trunks (and upper thighs).

Seth's pink sunburn.

Seth slapping Kevo in the chest and knocking him over.

Nelly struggling to paddle back upstream after getting separated from us.

All in all, it was a great day. It reminded me how much I love my friendships with these people. It was great to spend some time with old friends and also get a chance to make new friends.

Oh and also, we were bummed that Adam and Sam didn't call in sick to join us. We missed you guys!
